Economic Impact of Infrastructure Investments in SC – 2026 Edition Rollout
On August 18, 2026, ACEC-SC IWI will release the second edition of The Economic Impact of Infrastructure Investments in South Carolina at the Palmetto Club.
This year’s research goes even deeper. In addition to updating the original study, we’ve expanded the analysis to include infrastructure investments made by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES), the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (SCRIA), and the South Carolina Office of Resilience. We’ve also added Charleston and Berkeley Counties’ transportation penny sales tax programs, providing an even more complete picture of the economic impact infrastructure investment has on our state.
We hope you’ll join us for the rollout on Tuesday, August 18, at the Palmetto Club. Our chief economist and research lead, Dr. Joey Von Nessen of the USC Darla Moore School of Business, will present the findings. We’ll also be joined by Secretary of Transportation Justin Powell, SCRIA Executive Director Bonnie Ammons, SCDES Director Myra Reece, Office of Resilience Chief of Staff Eric Fosmire, and other state leaders. Lunch will be provided.
